Descrizione

Biodiversity underpins biosphere integrity and Earth system stability. IPBES (2019) estimates that around one million species are threatened with extinction. Safeguarding biosphere integrity requires conserving species and ecological interactions while ensuring ecosystem functioning and maintaining the natural processes that sustain and renew the diversity of life. Rewilding can help restore these processes in previously managed or degraded ecosystems.
