On the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership and the 15th anniversary of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), National Research Council of Italy (CNR) and UfM organize a conference in the framework of the Day of the Mediterranean.

The main objective is to discuss needs and opportunities to reinforce joint efforts of Research Centers, Universities and Industry representatives towards a Green MED and sustainable development in the Euro-Mediterranean area.

The conference moves from the study “Green innovation and employability in the Med through the triple helix”, commissioned by the UfM and realized by  the Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED) to further investigate and highlight new opportunities and best practices for the development of a sustainable economy through research, innovation and employability in the euro-med area. Italy, Jordan and Tunisia took part in this project kindles a discussion on how to connect research and innovation to Mediterranean cooperation towards sustainable economic growth and job creation.
